Hope
by Sharon Rose Poet

They shine through dark clouds
In clear tones of blue -
These glowing rays of hope
That strive to see us through.

The Race
by Sharon Rose Poet

When too many clouds crash in,
Darkening the Light of day,
We sometimes wonder why
Life deals us such dismay.
When it reaches a point
Where the best you can do
Is hold the broken pieces
And strive to make it through;
Let each bump in the road
Become a higher step to take
And every joy in the future-
What today's tears can make.
All the years ahead
Can be better than the past
When we crawl the race
Where the strongest finish last.

Wind Turbines
Sharon Rose Poet

They paint a mysterious song,
Each feather reaching for the wind.
So secure, so safe, so strong,
Like all I yearn to be
Inside this lonely speck
I dare to see as, Me.
Perhaps the day shall come,
When time and Earth are one,
I'll spread my tattered wings
Into the rising sun
And let my feathers spin
Around what's not begun;
Like these turbines they set free
To help our dieing world
Heal and grow and See.

World I See
Sharon Rose Poet

Oh what kind of world can my weary eyes See?
What kind of world must come to be?
A world where Love is valued most
Where genuine Heart is the constant host.
A world where Hearts pick up their paces
To lift broken people from wounded places.
A world where Hearts weather the storms
And Love is birthed from all that gets torn.
A world where the void of greed and hate
Is filled with Love by the hands of fate.
A world where all is in a state of repair
And none are left in deep despair.

Lady by the Sea
by Sharon Rose Poet

I wonder if I'll grow to be
A wise old lady, walking with the sea. . .
Letting courage dip more than just a toe;
Finding the depths as soothing as they are cold,
And every wave as young as it is old;
Noticing my footprints in their long crooked row;
Seeing each stumble as wisdom's chance to grow,
And every single step - the right way to go.

The Waif
by Sharon Rose Poet

I became "nothing but a worthless waif"
Who dared to pause in judgment's way.
But all the Angles beyond the sky
Reach down to hold me while I cry.
THEY know.

The Final Mile
by Sharon Rose Poet

Life is not about smiling and pretending all is well.
We can feel the good times, while comforting the hell.
When I dance the joyful part, you love my cheery smiles.
But then you turn away when I wade the teary miles.
I must walk them both, until my work is done.
And I don't want to cry my final mile alone.
But can I be for you all that I need for me?
Can I hold your hand until your heart is free?

Reality
By Sharon Rose Poet

Years ago
I had wondered if we
"Create our own reality"
And Light shone
Into all I did not see.

There is a grander plan,
Beyond the sphere of mind
That sets Wisdom into
The toughest hills we climb.

God creates mine.

Boy With A Gun
by Sharon Rose Poet

Deep inside a big man who held a rebel's gun
Was a nice little boy, who'd learned to fight and run.
But, God reaches in to help him change his mind
And bring into his life, a hand - pure and kind.
The gun is replaced with the words inside a Book,
And churches filled with lessons, every where he looks.
Now all that he needs is this most important part -
The courage to deeply cry for the pain in his own Heart-
To hold that wounded child and wash away his shame,
Until he fully feels the Light from where he came-
Until he completely spreads the beauty of his wings,
And gives those saddest tears a voice that proudly sings.
Oh let that precious little boy cry. . .until he fully Sees
All that he's held inside - the Love he'll ALWAYS be.

Homeless
by Sharon Rose Poet

Throughout history,
The rich have stolen
From the struggling
Hands of the poor,
Yet dare degrade
Their plea for help
For help from those
Who now have more.
It's a crazy
Backwards world
We strive to grow
And live in,
Where the greedy,
Heartless thieves
Are the ones
Who proudly win.
I look through
Our wounded Souls
And See that
The wisest ones of all
Are the ones
Whose humbled Hearts
Dare to stand up tall.

Way to go
by Sharon Rose Poet

I recently heard a preacher say
That "women should follow men."
And I was sure I'd misunderstood
Until he said it again!
Oh God help our lost world-
Help us all to know
That You are the only one
Who can lead our way to go.
And please help the ego-
This darker side of men,
To open up to Your Love
And find their Hearts again.
So we can ALL take our place,
Standing side by side,
And fill this lonely gap
That's growing far too wide.
No matter which gender,
The ones we need to lead,
Are those who open a Heart
For God to plant a seed.

Silenced
by Sharon Rose Poet

In my cave I sang, for the winged ones and the four legged.
I sang for the moon and the Sun; the Earth and the Stars.
But the humans. Ah....the humans,
These are the ones who silenced my voice.
These are the ones who do not know Love.
And I became one of them -
One of the strangled voices -
One of the silent songs
So, it is for them I shall now sing,
That I not judge those who judge me.

To Love
by Sharon Rose Poet

Its easy to grab the wind
And dance in shallow sand
But how often do we care
To hold a grieving hand?
Oh let my heart feel
The depths of its own pain
So I can comfort you
With my own love again.

Crying
by Sharon Rose Poet

Crying is like
Giving the Heart
A shower...
To wash away
Accumulated dirt.
